We have been promoting the idea of creating video content and sharing it on the web as a marketing and brand building exercise. The concept is simple, just like TV advertising, you create (or commission) some compelling video content, add your branding and possibly a web address and then share it on the web.
What many people don’t realise is that unlike TV advertising, it doesn’t cost anything to distribute your video. There more opportunities than simply embedding the video into your own website and possibly uploading to YouTube. A little bit of time spent submitting the video to other sites can dramatically improve the reach of your content.
The following is a list of websites that I compiled over the space of about an hour:
Beedeo Blinkx
Blip.tv Blogcheese Break.com Brightcove Broadbandsports BubblePly Clicktv Clipshack ClipSyndicate Coull.tv Currenttv Cuts Dabble Dailymotion eefoof Evideoshare ExpoTV FameWave Flikzor Flixya Flurl GlanceTV
GoFish Googlevideo Gotuit Graffiti Guba HungryFlix I Watch This Jumpcut Keepvid
LiveLeak LiveVideo Lulu TV Lycos Mix Magnify
Metacafe Moblr
Mobunga Motionbox
Myfilmz Openvlog Pawky Podesk Pooxi PureVideo Revver ROO ScreenBites Sharkle StumbleVideo TIOTI Truveo
UberChannel Uvouch Veoh VidaVee Viddler Videobomb VideoEgg Videosift Vidmax Vimeo Vmix
VodPod Vringo Vsocial Vurbs WeWin Yashi YouTube Ziddio Zippyvideos
As you can see there are many to choose from and this is by no means a comprehensive list, just the ones that I found quickly. There are more and more niche sites appearing on which relevant videos would likely perform better than in the more mainstream or broad-scoped content sites.
