One of our Students is an Award winner

For a student entering into a company on a Year In Industry (YINI) program it can be daunting and intimidating at first, because you have to start at the bottom of the ladder, making cups of tea and making sandwich trips to the cafe for the whole office but with hard work and persistence these programs can be hugely beneficial to both the student and the company.

We have mentioned many times before about our support for the Student Year in Industry and today we have received some great news for one of our students, Graham Smith.

At the end of each year the students who have taken part in YINI are invited to enter their work into the Contribution To The Business competition where their work is judged on its quality and how it has benefited the company they were employed with. With his outstanding work on the KMP Twitterfall and the Trek America 8 Mates across the States Facebook application, Graham has won one of three awards at this year’s ceremony.

Graham was chosen from approximately 40 entries to receive one of four prizes, unfortunately we have to wait until the 13th of July to find out whether he has taken the top prize at the award ceremony.

The award ceremony will take place on the 13th of July at Lancashire County Cricket Club and we will be there to see Graham collect his award and take photos, so be sure to check the blog to see if Graham wins this prestigious award and hear everyone’s reaction.

Good luck Graham
