Sue Ryder
Sue Ryder required a fresh website to help engage with volunteers, event organisers and donors to maintain their position as a top UK charity.
Sue Ryder is a leading provider of palliative care, operating 13 care centres and over 300 charity shops across the UK, staffed by some 9000 volunteers. The project involved the creation of a new website built upon the award-winning, enterprise-level Sitecore CMS platform. This has provided Sue Ryder with a flexible, extremely powerful system that simplifies the management of a large website for Sue Ryder’s marketing team.
The site makes use of geolocation to serve users with content relevant to their locality, allowing fast assimilation of key information. We’ve also produced a mobile site to allow Sue Ryder to extend their reach, allowing users access to information and to donate on the move, regardless of mobile platform.
As part of this project it was necessary to integrate with several 3rd party systems such as SagePay & Rapidata – to facilitate an easy to use donation system catering for recurring direct debits as well as one-off payments. We also integrated with the iTrent HR and workforce management system and Cybertill, an EPoS and e-commerce platform.
