We’ve partnered with Aberdeen International Airport to create a new responsive website that works across mobile, tablet and desktop, based on the Umbraco CMS.

Aberdeen engaged us to port over their existing site onto a more modern platform that would allow faster, more efficient content management and open the door to new possibilities such as dynamic personalization of content. Phase 1 is now complete, we ported the site over to the popular Umbraco CMS system in record time, hitting Aberdeen’s deadline and deploying the site onto a load balanced hosting solution to ensure the site responds fast during peak times. The site is now fully responsive across multiple devices meaning users can access key services such as live flight, pre book car parking and shopping information on the move.

Our extensive knowledge of the airport industry meant that we have direct experience with all of the  digital solutions Aberdeen required for their website, completing several integrations as part of the project. KMP have provided integrations with many top service providers such as Airport Direct Travel, Chauntry the pre-book car parking supplier and Innovata for live flight information. We’ve also provided exchange rate conversion functionality through Travelex and lost property functionality through PDMS. Users now have a wealth of functionality at their fingertips.

We ensured the navigation experience was simple for the end-user and also added the ability to filter social media channels.

Delivering a better mobile experience was also a main driver behind this project and in addition to a better overall user experience, we hope that the growing number of users accessing Aberdeen Airport via mobile/tablet devices will see considerable improvement.
