Milligan wanted a brand new website with a strong visual design where imagery that represented their key values was a main feature. In addition to the design a content management system was installed to allow Milligan to effortlessly and effectively update their site. The site is built with the .NET based Umbraco content management system.
Milligan specialise in the repositioning of existing retail centres that have lost their customer focus, expand successful going concerns & create retail centres from scratch. Every place they create is a one-off. Each is designed and created by focusing on the needs and desires of the people who will visit, use and enjoy the space.
By concentrating exclusively on the consumer, Milligan achieve the sales that many retailers crave and the returns that investors want.
Every place has to have a reason.
Milligan made its debut into the retail property market with the acquisition of Manchester’s Triangle shopping centre 10 years ago. It is currently seeking sites for new shopping centre-type developments devoted to the home, after a proposed tie-up with German-branded shopping centre operator Stilwerk fell through. The company, which is backed by Richardson Developments and Joe Kaempfer, the driving force behind MacArthurGlen, is also evaluating a development opportunity in Rome and acquisition of a shopping centre in Barcelona.
We are proud to be partnered with Milligan Retail. In today’s market, it is so important for us to create a website to work responsively, providing our clients with a highly positive online journey regardless of the device they are visiting from. Milligan approached KMP Digitata with a mission to refresh the design and update the architecture of their existing website.
The result is an impressive responsive site that delivers in terms of design and functionality. We’ve used a “strong visual element” and full screen images to convey information about Milligan and its style to users.
Milligan believed its old site “lacked certain features” and briefed us to create a replacement that would create “an immediate positive impact” and appeal to a wide range of audiences. The new-look site has been built on the Umbraco CMS platform making it fully content managemeable for the client. Gerard Daring said: “The new Milligan website expresses the excitement and drive they have in real life perfectly in the digital world.”
